Anish Kapoor is one of my favorite artist's, while researching inflatable architecture I came across Anish Kapoor collaboration with Japanese architect Arata Isozaki.

The project entitled Ark Nova, is inflatable concert hall that was designed to tour japan traveling to regions of country that were affected by the the earthquake and tsunami of 2011. The design incorporates two aspects of my design proposal, portability and inflatables. This project also brought to mind past work of Anish Kapoor. mainly his tunnel works.

Marsyas:

Sketches of this work from concept to design can be found on Anish Kapoor's website: http://anishkapoor.com/156/Marsyas.html

Anish Kapoors tunnel work has influenced my design, to have a similar element through my design which will break up the form and give a direction for customers to pass through the kiosk to the exit and seating area.

Anish Kapoor has a work of art in Nottingham The Sky Mirror which is outside the Nottingham Playhouse.
